Material Description. This specification covers the requirements for powder epoxy paint suitable for application to metal substrates by electrostatic spraying. Several specific approved products have cure temperatures as low as 120°C (denoted as 'low cure' in MATSPC). The resultant paint film is intended to provide cosmetic corrosion resistance to exterior surfaces of components such as brackets, covers and cast iron engine blocks and heads.
