1 SCOPE.

This specification covers a corrosion preventive compound which must provide a protective coating for steel. The material is designed for spray applications to bare metal surfaces such as the inside of bumpers. Suggested substrates include shot blasted steel, cold rolled, hot rolled, cast iron, iron phosphate, zinc phosphate, galvanized, and aluminum. Surface should be free from dirt, oil, grease, or other foreign matter. The material contains a vinyl acrylic resin and should not be exposed to temperatures above 85°C during it¿s cure, processing, or service life.
