1 SCOPE.

This specification covers the basic physical, chemical and performance requirements of materials which react with the isocyanate constituent of urethane enamels. This reaction prevents normal cure and subsequent hardening of the enamel in tanks and piping systems. The materials may also be used for neutralizing and cleanup of spills of mixed urethane enamels or individual components. The neutralizing materials may consist of solvents or blends of solvents and other reactive materials. Products covered under this specification are not interchangeable, and must be evaluated and approved for use with each specific urethane material.
