1 SCOPE.

This specification covers a thermoplastic corrosion preventive compound which provides a protective coating on vehicle frames and chassis components. A low application tempemure material (Type I) and a high temperature flow resistant material (Type II ) are described. The coating shd be appIied over heated (105 to 120°C) clean bare steel in a hot dip system (l05 to 1200 C) to a firm adherent low gloss film 75 to 600 um thick. The coating shall be100% solids with no solvents. It shall contain no asphalt or fibrous fillers such as asbestos. It shall be nontoxic and noninjurious to plant personal.
