The coating material described in this specification is modified epoxy polymer applied as a powder and baked to a uniform coating. This material is suitable for use on magnesium. Initial usage was magnesium rocker covers.
General Magnesium parts to be coated are to be thoroughly and dipped in the appropriate conversion coating prior to application of the epoxy coating.
The coated parts are to be baked per supplier's recommendations.
