1 SCOPE.

This specification covers a sealer that will expand, cure and bond to metal substrates during paint oven heats. This material must be submitted in extruded or die cut form; and, if an anti blocking coating is used for storage properties, this coating must in no way contaminate paint systems or adversely affect the adhesive characteristics of the sealer under production conditions. Material must part cleanly from paper on which it is furnished without sticking or stretching. The material, after heat expansion and cure, shall be flexible and have good adhesion to oily or phosphated galvanized or cold rolled steel surfaces.
