1 SCOPE.
This specification covers NLGI No. 2 silicone grease, intended primarily for lubrication of steel wire cables sliding inside plastic liners from -40 to +200 degrees C. This grease is soap thickened methyl phenyl copolymer silicone fluid. It has been found useful for lubrication of metal and plastic parts exposed to wide temperature ranges. It is not suited for highly loaded metal-to-metal lubrication.
