1 SCOPE.

This specification defines the requirements for a general purpose gasoline detergent additive based upon certain physical characteristics and performance parameters. 1.1 This material when mixed with certain unleaded gasolines, shall reduce or eliminate the tendency for port fuel injectors to form deposits during operation.
