The material defined herein consists of a suspension of metallic and mineral fillers in a sodium silicate solution. It will permanently seal microporosity in ferrous and nonferrous castings and may be used to render structurally sound castings air and fluid tight. Vacuum or pressure sealing processes may be employed.
