This specification covers the requirements for a water soluble cleaner that will be applied to automotive windshields to clean contamination from the surface. The material may be applied as a water solution or as a powder with slightly abrasive properties which are not detrimental to the glass of the windshield.

Material Description. This material shall be primarily alumina silicate salts of potassium, sodium, and calcium, the percentage being approximately 90%. The material as received shall be a fine, off-white power.

Water Solubility. The material shall be soluble up to a maximum of 7% to 10%.
