Material Description. This specification describes a nitrogen oxide (NOx) reduction agent (aqueous urea solution) which is injected as needed to operate selective catalytic reduction (SCR) converters in motor vehicles with diesel engines.
Symbols. The fluid may be identified as AUS 32 as defined in ISO 22241-1 or by the initials DEF.
Typical Applications. The fluid was first introduced for use in MY2010i/2011 G vans with diesel engines.
Remarks. Similar to ISO 22241-1 with more stringent aldehyde restriction.
