Material Description. This specification describes an enhanced, specially formulated, synthetic hypoid gear lubricant made from Group III base stocks for improved performance that is, intended to be used with American Automotive Manufacturer (AAM) axle products. A small amount of grape fragrance has been added to this formulation. This lubricant must meet all of the performance requirements including fleet testing of Military Performance (MIL-PRF)-2105E, SAE J2360, and Gear Lubricant (GL-5).The most recent revision of each document is to be, used.
