Adhesives approved to this specification are intended for use in bonding stationary automotive glass in painted body openings. The material is designed to be used primerless to the painted body or glass as compatible. It may also be used in conjunction with compatible glass and body side primers or adhesion promoters.

Material Description. This specification covers the minimum requirements of a one (1)-part, room temperature applied, Silyl Modified Polymer (SMP) adhesive.

Applicability. Materials approved to this requirement are intended for bonding stationary automotive safety glass to painted automotive body openings, e.g., windshield, rear windows and fixed side glass. It may also be used for bonding automotive trim to glass or painted bodies.
