This standard for Metric Hex Washer Head Tapping Screws of thread cutting Types D,F and T conforms in all essentials, other than head proportions, with the American National Standard covering metric tapping screws. The basic head dimensions agree with those incorporated in earlier national standard proposals for the hex washer head and since replaced therein by the hex flange head.
