This standud covering Type TFS Break Mandrel Blind Rivet conform in all essentials with the industry standards for these parts. These rivets are pull mandrel design blind rivets where, during the setting operation, the shaped mandrel is drawn into and/or against rivet body to fill the installation hole and form three folded wings on the blind side and then breaks off at or near the junction of the mandrel shankand/or near the rivet head. The grip range for respective size-length combination type TFS rivets is relatively long. They are intended for general use in making permanent type attachments in non-structural applications, joining combinations of thin, brittle, or soft materials. The inch series rivets documented herein are also considered appopriate at this time for use in metric designs.
