SCOPE.

This specification covers cold rolled steel sheets in coils and cut lengths, zinc coated on both sides by electrodeposition, and phosphate treated. NOTE: Electrolytic zinc coated sheets are customarily available in widths over 12 through 1500 mm and in thicknesses over 0.22 through 2.75 mm. Also, in several ¿qualities¿ (Commercial Quality, Drawing Quality, Drawing Quality Special Killed, and Physical Quality, as defined in AISI Steel Products Manual Carbon Sheet Steel). These and other details of the base metal are intended to be specified by supplement to this specification. The light zinc coating specified herein is not intended to withstand outside exposure without painting.
