This specification covers two types of nickel sulfate salts intended primarily for use in nickel plating solutions. The composition of both materials falls between the limits represented by the formulate NiSO(4) · 6H(2)O and NiSO(4) · 7H(2)O. Type B, however, contains slightly less impurities.
Unless otherwise specified by individual purchaser, by adding the suffix Type B to the basic material number (e.g. GM1817M, Type B), materials furnished to this specification shall conform to the limits shown for Type A.
