1 SCOPE
The material covered by this specification is a rag base tufting felt. It shall have a smooth surface and be free from metallic inclusions except to the extent of thirty two per square meter providing any dimension of the metal does not exceed 2.4 mm. The iinish shall be free of surface lumps or irregularities and have no tendency to slough off in shipping, handling, during application of adhesive coating, or in any dielectric or sewing process.
