This specification describes the properties of a padding of uniform thickness composed of natural and/or synthetic fibers bonded together mechanically by needling, adhesively by means of a binder, or by a combination of the two. Molded, coated or film faced parts made from these materials must also meet final application requirements.
The padding may be used as a sound absorber, a decoupler layer of a composite noise barrier and/or a thermal insulator.
