1 SCOPE.

This specification covers the properties of a resilient, flexible, homogeneous sheet of glass fibers bonded together with a durable, inert thermosetting binder. This sheet would he used for thermal insulation and noise control in the engine compartment and in other non-passenger compartment areas. It should be free of excessive dust out, lumps, binder spots, cracks, shingling effects and noxious odors. The sheet may be of laminated constructions. It must not transfer fibers to the hand during shipping, handling and instalIation in the car. The binder must be uniformly distributed throughout, be of a nonstaining nature and be completely cured.
