1 SCOPE.

This specification covers straight and curved coolant hose intended for use as long life radiator hose, heater hose and other flexible conduits for automotive engine cooling systems. Such products are intended to withstand the effects of circulating solutions containing corrosion inhibitors and glycols and operating under a maximum intermittant system pressure of 30 psig at temperatures from -40 to 120°C. The hose approved under this specification is not recommended for incorporation into crimped coolant hose assemblies.
