This specification details the requirements of a Class A appearance paintable pumpable sealer. The material is intended to be used in the paint shop or body shop (9984274 and 9984287 only) to seal interior and exterior body joints against water, dust and air intrusion.

The material must be a smooth and homogeneous mixture free of air, lumps, unmixed particles or foreign materials. It must be capable of being dispensed with standard production pumping equipment.

The material must adhere to all production E-Coats and for 9984274 and 9984287 must also adhere to oily cold rolled steel, hot dipped and electrogalvanized metal substrates. It must have good durability and must not accelerate the rusting of metal over which it is applied.
