1 Scope This material may be used primarily as a floor pan thermal insulator. These materials are highly resistant to breakdown due to heavy foot traffic or high loads. Other applications may include insulation for instrument panels and trunks. Acoustical insulating properties may be present, but must be determined for each material and may change with the addition of a foil layer.
