This specification covers the properties of a material suitable for trimming automobile roofs or convertible tops. The material shall be a composite where the top material will be resistant to permanent creasing, contamination by mildew, fungus growth or rust, compatible with vinyls, and resistant to attack. If it is to be used as a convertible top material, it should also have a bottom layer of a drill backing fabric dyed as specified and water repellent treated.
