1 Scope

This specification covers the minimum require ments for plastic parts used in seat belt assem blies. Other related plastic seat belt parts like in termediate guide's, escutcheons, etc. which are not supplied as part of an (top end) assembly, are covered under GM7400M for significant properties of plastic parts. Individual material specifications will be indicated for each part on the respective GM or supplier prints. All plastic parts that are moldedincolor, unpainted, and are exposed to sunlight must be UV stabilized and must meet an appropriate GMP material specification for UV stabilized plastic. The UV stability of each color for that material must be certified by the material sup plier. Approved materials/colors are listed in GM MATSPC.

1.1 Material Description. This specification ap plies to seat belt system assemblies which include buckle, latch, retractor and guide loop assemblies.
