1 Scope
This specification covers the qualification and performance requirements for ornamentation that is coated with acrylic, urethane or a blend of acrylic and urethane < 400 µm thick and used on the vehicle exterior. These emblems may be used as inserts or as stand-alone medallions. For emblems coated with thicker layering of acrylic, reference GM218M. For emblems coated with a thicker layering of urethane, reference GM7467M.
