Material Description. This specification is intended to cover extruded and pumpable adhesive requirements for bonding steel, aluminum and magnesium substrates.

Suppliers must indicate targeted substrates for test adhesive. The supplier must then submit data for only targeted substrates, e.g. if steel is the targeted substrate for an experimental adhesive then he may omit testing to aluminum and magnesium. Actual applications will be listed in MATSPC.

Remarks

All data to be taken from a statistical sampling of 3 specimens (minimum) for all procedures unless otherwise indicated. A Summary Coupon Count including control samples, is located in Table 1 and Table 2 of the Appendix.

Required Substrates.

For all tests requiring the application of adhesive to metallic substrates, the panels must be prepared per GM9901P prior to testing.

If steel is the targeted application then the following substrates must be used:

IV GMW2 HD70G70GU

If aluminum is the targeted application then the following substrate must be used:
