1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the requirements the retainer plastic molding compounds and hot melt adhesive combinations used for temporarily bonding reveal moldings to windshields and backlights prior to bonding the glass into the vehicles. The requirements of the hot melt adhesive are that it must have a tacky surface at ambient temperature, in order for the adhesive to adhere to the glass in production environments, and be resistant to plasticizer migration.
