1 SCOPE.

This specification covers round, square and rectangular cold drawn furnace welded carbon steel mechanical tubing. Rounds, generally available to 90 mm (3.5 in.) outside diameter with wall thicknesses from 0.80 to 12.0 mm (0.032 to 0.5 in.) are intended primarily for use in mechanical components such as engine valves, rocker shafts, tie rods, drag links, brake and clutch pedal shafts and bushings where dimensional accuracy, surface finish and mechanical properties are important. It is not intended for use where the tubing as received must be flattened cold.
