This method is a simple, rapid and effective means of evaluating tensile strength of electrodeposits, a property of plated metal found to have an important effect on the life of many plated parts. Bumper bars and bumper guards, for example, may be deformed at times due to impact causing rupture of a low tensile strength nickel plate.
