This test method describes two procedure to be used in determining the ductility of rivets and similar stepped parts at section changes. Parts passing this test can be considered as capable of withstanding moderate to severe eccentric loading or abuse during assembly, body installation, or service without experiencing low energy, brittle fracture at the section changes.
