1 SCOPE.
This specification details the requirements for water quality in processing vehicles in the paint shop. The requirements will be used to ensure optimum quality of the incoming water that is applied on the vehicle. The water must be removed from the surface without leaving any foreign matter and shall not adversely effect paint adhesion to the subsequent coatings. The water must not etch the coated surface and must minimize water spotting of a cleaned surface.
