This specification defines the min requirements for factory fii and service-fill engine oils recommended for gasoline-powered passenger cars and light duty trucks. Engine oils conforming to letter designation SF as described in SAE Technical Reports J183 Feb 80 and J300 Sep 80 are required to meet this specification.
