This standard covers the requirements for a coil coated aluminum sheet for exterior hardware applications. The coatin systems indicated consist of: a) a urethane primer, a fluor& color coat and, where indicated, a compatible fluon>carbon or urethane clear coat or, b) a oprietary aluminum oxide anodic layer and a clear flu &n t o p a t or, c) a roprietary aluminum oxide anodic layer, a fluorocarbon coror coat and a clear fluorocarbon topcoat. The organic coatings are applied by reverse roll coating. Various systems which correlate to coating thickness, color, and gloss are identified by codes, as shown in Table 1. NOTE: This identiñcation defines an aluminum sheet product of alloy AA5052 coated with 30 gloss black fluoropolymer paint system. A temper designation if required will immediately follow the aluminum alloy grade.
