1 Scope
This specification is inactive and has been replaced by the applicable GM Worldwide (GMW) or Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) sheet steel specifications. Cold rolled and zinc coated bake hardenable and non-bake hardenable higher strength, dent resistant steel purchased for the GM Metal Fabricating Division and the GM Steel Resale Program shall be changed to utilize coding and requirements shown in GMW3032. Refer to Appendix A for conversion of GM-North America (GMNA) specification coding to GMW specification coding. Part suppliers not participating in the GM Steel Resale Program, that are not able to purchase steel from GMW3032 approved sources should utilize SAE specification J2340.
