1 SCOPE.
This specification defines the minimum per- formance requirements for factory-fill and service-fill engine oils recommended for gasoline and/or diesel-powered passenger cars and light-duty trucks. Engine oils conforming to letter designations SG (SG/CC), SG/CD, and/or SGfCB as described in SAB Technical Report J183, are required to meet this specification. The owner¿ s manual should be consulted for specific engine oil recommendations.
