This standard covers coiled wire armor as used for mechanical and abrasion protection of designated areas of air and fluid carrying tubes and pipes, 0.187 thru 0.375 inch outside diameter. A suffix letter-number system is provided for designating material type and diameter, coil pitch and inside diameter and coil length. Example: GM 6132M (A047K197), GM 6132M (B047P197). and GM 6132M (B047P197L8.75).
