1 SCOPE.
These specifications (NOTE 1) prescribe the requirements for welding rods for oxy acetylene and carbon arc welding, and covered electrodes for shielded metal arc welding, of cast iron. These filler metals are suitable for welding gray cast iron, malleable iron, and some alloy cast iron. Supplementary information, not part of this specification, is included in the Appendix.
