1 Scope This specification is inactive and has been replaced by the applicable GM Worldwide (GMW) or Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) sheet steel specifications. Hot dip galvanized steel purchased for the GM Metal Fabricating Division and the GM Steel Resale Program shall be changed to utilize coding and requirements shown in GMW2, GMW8, and GMW3032. Refer to Appendix A for conversion of GM-North America (GMNA) specification coding to GMW specification coding. Part suppliers not participating in the GM Steel Resale Program, that are not able to purchase steel from GMW2, GMW3032, and GMW3399 approved sources should utilize SAE specifications J2329 or J2340.
