1 SCOPE.

This specification covers the performance requirements of decorative exterior emblems. These emblems may be zinc die cast, gilders bronze (SAE CA-210), or plastic base materials with a precious metal decorative plating that does or does not include a protective clear coating. Those emblems which do incorporate a protective clear coat must meet the additional Suffix C requirements as outlined in this specification. This specification is not intended to include bright chrome plated emblems which are covered in GM4372M.
