1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the materials and test requirements for a permanent underhood label for export vehicles. The label consists of an imprintable (laser, impact, typewriter) base label plus a clear protective overlay. Both the base label and overlay, upon removal, must show evidence of tampering. In addition, attempts at removal must result in label destruction.
