1 SCOPE.
This standard defines the requirements of a hot rolled alloyed steel special section used in the manufacture of structural parts such as door impact beams. 1.1 Sections supplied under this specification shall be made by hot rolling and air cooling to the desired shape and properties from a billet. The alloy was specifically developed for door impact beams, but may have other applications.
