This standard covers four types of non-metallic flexible conduit or loom as used for anti-rattle and/or mechanical protection of insulated wires, rods, tubing and flexible shafts and for similar applications.
General Purpose Loom (GM675M)
- Is recommended for uses requiring a water and acid proof covering.
Fire Retardant Loom (GM676M)
- Is recommended for uses requiring a water and acid proof covering resistant to fire and abrasion.
Oil Proof Loom (GM677M)
- Is recommended for uses requiring an oil, gasoline, water, and acid proof covering.
Anti-Rattle Loom (GM678M)
- Is recommended for uses requiring an inexpensive mechanical protection and should not be used where a water proof, oil proof, acid resisting or fire retardant covering is required.
