This specification covers the finish durability requirements for decorative interior plastics parts. Components such as instrument panels, and door trim panels, which in many cases have cast vinyl skins, are to meet GM7454M. Some examples of parts which should be covered by this specification are molded-in-color door cup escutcheons, garnish moldings, coat hooks, mirror patches, door and quarter trim panels which are not cloth or vinyl covered, etc.
