This procedure covers the durability requirements for applied graphics on plastic or painted plastic parts. For Types I, II, and III, pad printing is the typical process used to apply graphics, epoxy ink is the typical material used. For Type IV, pad printing or silk screening is the typical process used. Some examples of parts which should be covered by this specification are first or second surface interior trim and underhood components with graphics.
