1 SCOPE.
This standard outlines the essential features of radial lip seals which should be specified by the user in order to achieve a high degree of reliability of seals in service. It includes a drawing format, see Figures 1 and 2, which is intended to insure that all features are covered in a concise, easy to understand manner. Where a user¿s engineering practices or needs are not applicable to all features of the standard it is intended that be follow as many details as is practical.
