1 SCOPE.

This electrochemical test was developed by the GM Research Laboratories to evaluate ethylene glycol engine coolants for the corrosion protection they afford to aluminum heat-rejecting surfaces of engine heads. This test is only a screening test, and other tests that offer greater stress on the cooling system should be run to determine total protection.
