1 SCOPE.

This procedure is intended to be used to determine impact capabilities of plastic materials in flat plaque (disc or square) form by using a guided tup. This procedure may be used for impact testing of any plastic mamial of suitable size and thickness (see Section 3). This procedure is useful for establishing an impact specification for new materials and determining compliance to a specified impact level. Once an impact level has been established and the material approved, compliance of individual lots to the specification can be accomplished using the procedure in Section 7. This procedure is not intended to be used for testing of molded parts.
