1 SCOPE.

This Test Method describes an operating procedure for the Monsanto Rheometer to establish a means of controlling the quality and consistency of incoming polymers. By measuring the material's intrinsic melt viscosity, rate of degradation and/or cross linking, the processability can be estimated. This method may also be used to determine the melt compatibility of certain polymers or relative degradation of a material in a part.
