1 SCOPE.

This standard covers a test for determining the abiity of primers to prevent paint solvents from penetrating into SMC (thermset unsaturated polyester composite) plastics. The solvent is 'tagged' with a fluorescent dye, the intensity of which is a measure of the amount of solvent absorbed into the SMC.
